An intensive photography workshop led by Mostafa Abdel Aty, organized by Meow Tours with the support of Czech Centres and the Austrian Cultural Forum.
This production-oriented photography lab is designed for emerging photographers (17+) who want to strengthen their visual storytelling and create exhibition-ready work. The workshop focuses on photographing street animals — especially cats and dogs — and the people who care for them, highlighting compassion and coexistence in public spaces.
Selected works will be exhibited at the Austrian Cultural Forum in Cairo after the workshop. All participants will take part in a group presentation. Part of the Safe Spaces / SPACES projects by Czech Centres and the Austrian Cultural Forum.

About the Trainer
Mostafa Abdel Aty is a multidisciplinary visual artist working across photography and socially engaged research. He is the official photographer for D-CAF since 2013 and the former Head of Photography at Cairo International Film Festival (2022). With over 60 international exhibitions and experience as a Canon trainer (2021–2024), he brings both artistic and technical mentorship into community-based visual practice.

We organize shelter visits, street feeding tours, fear-exposure events for people who are afraid of animals, and educational talks with veterinarians and trainers.

مساحات آمنة: ورشة تصوير حيوانات الشوارع
جزء من مشروع Safe Spaces / SPACES بتنظيم المراكز التشيكية والمنتدى الثقافي النمساوي.
ورشة تصوير فوتوغرافي مكثفة بقيادة مصطفى عبد العاطي، وتنظيم Meow Tours بدعم من المراكز التشيكية والمنتدى الثقافي النمساوي.
هذا المختبر العملي موجّه للمصورين الناشئين (17 عامًا فأكثر) الراغبين في تطوير مهاراتهم في السرد البصري وإنتاج أعمال جاهزة للعرض. تركز الورشة على تصوير حيوانات الشوارع — خاصة القطط والكلاب — والأشخاص الذين يعتنون بها، مع تسليط الضوء على قيم الرحمة والتعايش في الفضاءات العامة.
سيتم عرض الأعمال المختارة في المنتدى الثقافي النمساوي بالقاهرة بعد نهاية ورشة العمل، وسيشارك جميع المشاركين في عرض جماعي.

مصطفى عبد العاطي فنان بصري متعدد التخصصات يعمل في مجالي التصوير الفوتوغرافي والبحث الفني المجتمعي. يشغل منصب المصور الرسمي لمهرجان D-CAF منذ عام 2013، وكان رئيس قسم التصوير في مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي عام 2022.
شارك في أكثر من 60 معرضًا دوليًا، وعمل مدربًا مع Canon بين عامي 2021 و2024، حيث يجمع في ممارسته بين الخبرة الفنية والتقنية والإرشاد الإبداعي ضمن سياقات العمل المجتمعي.
