Dive into the pool of AI technologies and discover how AI can assist in finding appropriate temp music. Walter will demonstrate in his DAW (Logic) how to analyze temp tracks and craft a relevant creative response to secure projects. A discussion on how to defend your work in challenging situations.
Walter will present an assignment (for Day 3 presentation). Work on a short movie scene accompanied by a temp track. Understand the intricacies of spotting sessions and learn what questions to ask. Explore how AI can assist in navigating agreements and contracts.
Present your work for discussion and constructive feedback, with potential on-the-fly changes. Conclude with a glimpse into the future of AI in film composition and its impact on the composer’s career. Discuss PRO and rights issues, including those specifically arising from AI collaborations.
Walter Werzowa is an award-winning Hollywood film composer, producer and professor of media composition with a focus on film music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He has composed film music for directors such as Steven Spielberg and Wim Wenders, among others. Werzowa is music director of the immersive project Mythos Mozart, which opened in Vienna in 2022. After living in Los Angeles for more than 30 years, he has recently returned to Vienna.
