SABBART, a blend of “Sabbar” (Arabic for “cactus”) and “Art,” explores how arts and culture can shape a more sustainable future. Through diverse artistic perspectives and cultural exchanges, we aim to inspire reflection and dialogue for a more eco-social world.

About the Invited Artists:
Stefano Cagol (Italy)
He works in the fields of conceptual art, ecology, Eco-art and Land-art. He is a two-time winner of the Italian Council award (2019, 2023). He participated in the 54th, 55th and 57th editions of the Venice Biennale, as well as Manifesta 11 and the Curitiba, Xinjang, Cairo and Singapore Biennales. His solo exhibitions were hosted by the Mac Museum in Lissone in 2023, Kunsthall 3.14 in Bergen in 2022 and the Zkm in Karlsruhe in 2012.
Stefano Cagol (Italy)

Jaroslava Bičovská (Czech)
Studied at the Václav Hollar Secondary School of Art in Prague in 1960–1964. She was unable to continue her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts for political reasons. Her independent artistic beginnings are connected with her designs for graphic design of books for the publishing house Vyšehrad. At the turn of the 1960s and 1970s, Bičovská presented herself as a distinctive artist. The post-revolutionary years brought her the opportunity to present her free work in public, where she finally received the recognition she deserved. In 1990, she and her husband founded Dar Ibn Rushd, a publishing house dedicated to publications from the Arab world and have published more than 300 books since. Currently she lives and works in Brandýs nad Labem, Czechia.

Yaroslava Belozor (Ukraine)
An artist with a rich artistic heritage, hailing from a family of talented artists. Her father, Alexander Belozor, a renowned Ukrainian artist, encouraged Yaroslava’s early exposure to art. His teachings sparked her own passion for artistic expression, leading her to hold her first solo exhibition at the young age of six. In 2011, she began working with various mediums such as oil, acrylic, and mixed art techniques, as well as delving into clothes design. Her move to Egypt further influenced her art, as she found inspiration in the country’s rich culture and ancient philosophy, patterns of Islamic art, etc. Through her paintings, she aims to capture the natural beauty of the landscapes she encounters, employing classic oil painting techniques.

صبأرت، وهو مزيج من كلمة “صبار” و”أرت أو الفن”، وهو فعاليات ثقافية بتمزج ما بين الفنون والثقافة وما بين البيئة والاستدامة. ومن خلال وجهات النظر الفنية المتنوعة والتبادلات الثقافية، نهدف إلى زيادة الوعي من أجل عالم أفضل.
سيتم تنظيم برنامج صبأرت، والتي تستضيفه يونيك أو اتحاد المعاهد الثقافية الأوروبية في مصر، في الفترة ما بين 7 مايو و12 يونيو في معاهد ثقافية مختلفة بالقاهرة.

فنانة ذو تراث فني غني، تنحدر من عائلة من الفنانين الموهوبين. شجعها والدها، ألكسندر بيلوزور، وهو فنان أوكراني مشهور، على تعرضها لعالم الفن منذ سن المبكر. أثارت تعاليمه شغفها بالتعبير الفني، مما دفعها إلى إقامة معرضها الفردي الأول في سن السادسة. في عام 2011، بدأت العمل باستخدام وسائل مختلفة مثل تقنيات الزيت والأكريليك والفنون المختلطة، بالإضافة إلى التعمق في تصميم الملابس. أثر انتقالها إلى مصر على فنها بشكل أكبر، حيث وجدت الإلهام في ثقافة البلاد الغنية وفلسفتها القديمة، وأنماط الفن الإسلامي، وما إلى ذلك. وتهدف من خلال لوحاتها إلى التقاط الجمال الطبيعي للمناظر الطبيعية التي تواجهها، باستخدام الرسم الزيتي الكلاسيكي.
