Literature Residency Reading Night | أمسية قراءة – أدباء الإقامة الأدبية

During this event, the three residents will present recent works developed during their time in Cairo. In a performative reading, they will explore themes of loss and absence in Mediterranean histories; postcolonial identity entanglement with intergenerational trauma; opacity and the boundaries of language; hybridity and exile; distant roots and unfamiliar places that become new homes—where place itself redraws the contours of layered identities.

About the writers in residency:

Federica Bueti is a writer, editor, and lecturer whose work explores feminist and decolonial methodologies in art, literature, and critical theory. She is the author of Imagination Besieged (Routledge, 2025) and Critical Poetics of Feminist Refusals (Routledge, 2022), and teaches Cultural Anthropology at the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria. Since 2020, she has also been a Writing Tutor at the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam. Her research and writing trace resonances across feminist and decolonial literatures, Mediterranean imaginaries, the politics of voice, and the poetics of refusal. Alongside her academic work, she has curated programs at institutions such as SAVVY Contemporary, and recently collaborated with artist Shuruq Harb on the short film Off Your Shore – Paper Trail (Busan Biennale, 2024). Her texts have appeared in numerous art magazines, critical anthologies, and artist monographs. She has worked with institutions and independent presses including Archive Books, The Greenbox, and kyklada.press, engaging interdisciplinary approaches to art, memory, and cultural resistance.

Sabrina Boukhorssa is an Algerian creative writer and vocalist whose interdisciplinary work combines music, literature and political critique. A graduate in Political Science, she created and hosts Music of Revolutions, a podcast that explores the revolutionary histories of the Global South through their musical heritage. A fellow of the University of Iowa’s non-fiction writing programme, she blends personal and collective memory in narrative work grounded in decolonial and feminist thought. Her writing style can be described as auto-theory.

Ahmad Klij is a Syrian-Kurdish poet and writer who was born in Damascus in 1986 and studied journalism at Damascus University. He has published in both Kurdish and Arabic and has focused on the cultural and literary sphere in his writings.
With the outbreak of the conflict in Syria, he moved between Iraqi Kurdistan and Istanbul, where he worked as a radio journalist and focused on preparing cultural programs documenting the Syrian cultural movement and collective memory.
In 2018, at the invitation of the Joan Vinzoli i Pladevall Poetry Museum, he participated with several musicians in a poetry-music reading tour entitled “The Road to Aleppo”, which covered six cities in Catalonia/Spain.
He also attended the Hamburg School of Journalism (HMS) and produced his first documentary “Roads of Steel” for Phoenix TV.
He has lived in Hamburg since 2019.

يستضيف معهد جوته القاهرة فعالية قراءة مفتوحة يشارك فيها الأدباء المشاركين/ات حاليًا في الإقامة الفنية للأدب في معهد جوته القاهرة: صابرينا بوخورصا، وفيدريكا بويتي، وأحمد قليج.

خلال هذه الفعالية، سيقدم فنانون/ات الإقامة الثلاثة أعمالهم/هن الأخيرة التي تم تطويرها خلال فترة إقامتهم/هن في القاهرة. في قراءة أدائية، سوف يستكشفون مواضيع الفقدان والغياب في تاريخ البحر الأبيض المتوسط، وتشابك الهوية ما بعد الاستعمار مع الصدمة بين الأجيال، والغموض وحدود اللغة، والتهجين والمنفى، والجذور البعيدة والأماكن غير المألوفة التي تصبح بيوتًا جديدة – حيث يعيد المكان نفسه رسم ملامح الهويات متعددة الطبقات.

عن أدباء الإقامة الفنية:

صبرينا بوخورصا، كاتبة ومغنية جزائرية تجمع أعمالها متعددة التخصصات بين الموسيقى والأدب والنقد السياسي. تخرّجت في العلوم السياسية، وأسست وتستضيف ”موسيقى الثورات“، وهو بودكاست يستكشف التاريخ الثوري لدول ال “جلوبال ساوث” من خلال تراثها الموسيقي. وهي زميلة في برنامج الكتابة غير الروائية في جامعة أيوا، وهي تمزج بين الذاكرة الشخصية والجماعية في عمل سردي يرتكز على الفكر النسوي والفكرال “ديكولونيالي”. يمكن وصف أسلوبها في الكتابة بأنه نظري ذاتي.

فيديريكا بويتي كاتبة ومحررة ومحاضرة، تستكشف أعمالها المنهجيات النسوية وال”ديكولونيالية” في الفن والأدب والنظرية النقدية. وهي مؤلفة كتاب ”الخيال المٌحاصر“ (روتليدج، ٢٠٢٥) وكتاب ”الشعرية النقدية للرفض النسوي“ (روتليدج، ٢٠٢٤)، وتدرّس الأنثروبولوجيا الثقافية في جامعة ميديترانيا في ريجيو كالابريا في ايطاليا. ومنذ عام ٢٠٢٠، تعمل أيضًا مدرّسة للكتابة في معهد بيت زفارت في روتردام. تتتبّع أبحاثها وكتاباتها أصداء الأدب النسوي و أدب ال “ديكولونيالية”، والتخيلات المتوسطية، وسياسات الصوت، وشعرية الرفض. إلى جانب عملها الأكاديمي، قامت بتنسيق برامج في مؤسسات مثل “سافي كونتمبوراري”، وتعاونت مؤخرًا مع الفنانة شروق حرب في الفيلم القصير ”أوف يور شور“ (بينالي بوسان، ٢٠٢٤). ظهرت نصوصها في العديد من المجلات الفنية والمختارات النقدية ودراسات الفنانين. عملت مع مؤسسات ومطابع مستقلة من بينها ”أرشيف بوكس“ و”ذا جرين بوكس“ و”كيكلادا برس“، حيث شاركت في مقاربات متعددة التخصصات للفن والذاكرة والمقاومة الثقافية.

أحمد قلیج شاعر وكاتب كردي سوري، ُولد في دمشق عام ١٩٨٦، ودرس الصحافة في جامعتھا. نشط في مجال النشر باللغتین الكردیة والعربیة، وتركزت كتاباته في الثقافة والأدب.
مع اندلاع الصراع في سوریا، تنّقل بین كردستان العراق وإسطنبول، حیث عمل في الصحافة المسموعة، ورّكز على إعداد برامج ثقافیة توثق للحراك الثقافي والذاكرة الجمعیة السوریة.
في عام ٢٠١٨، شارك مع عدد من الموسیقیین في جولة قراءات شعریة-موسیقیة تحت عنوان “الطریق إلى حلب”، شملت ست مدن في إقلیم كاتالونیا/إسبانیا، بدعوة من متحف الشاعر جوان فینثولي إي بلادیبال.
كما التحق بمدرسة هامبورغ للصحافة وأنتج أول فيلم وثائقي له بعنوان ”طرق الفولاذ“ لتلفزيون فينيكس.
يعيش في هامبورغ منذ عام 2019.
