Between the Planned and the Lived
Exhibition by Azza Ezzat at CRAFTSATIC!
In her solo exhibition, Cairo-based artist Azza Ezzat presents intricate ink drawings that offer visual reflections on the contemporary city. Her work captures the emotional and spatial complexity of Cairo—where formal urban planning clashes with the improvised rhythms of daily life.
With the deceptive seeming simplicity of using only black ink, Ezzat constructs dense and layered compositions that evoke the fragmented and shifting nature of the city. Combining documentary attention with personal reflections, she draws out invisible geographies shaped by memory, perception, and everyday encounters.

معرض لعزة عزت في جاليري كارفتاستك!
في هذا المعرض الفردي، تقدّم الفنانة عزة عزت، مجموعة من الرسوم بالحبر الأسود التي تعبّر من خلالها عن رؤيتها البصرية لمدينة القاهرة المعاصرة.
تعكس أعمالها تعقيد القاهرة كمساحة حضرية مليئة بالمفارقات، حيث يصطدم التخطيط الرسمي مع الواقع المعاش واليومي. ومن خلال استخدام تقنيتها الفريدة في الرسم بالحبر فقط، تخلق تكوينات بصرية مركّبة ومعقّدة تعبّر عن المدينة كما تُختبَر في لحظاتها العابرة وتحوّلاتها المستمرة.
ترصد عزّة في أعمالها طبقات غير مرئية من القاهرة، صاغتها الذكريات والانطباعات واللقاءات اليومية، في مزيج بين التوثيق البصري والانطباعات الشخصية.
