Comedians di Gabriele Salvatores
“Comedians” esplora il significato profondo della comicità contemporanea, ponendo interrogativi sui suoi limiti e sul suo ruolo nella società attuale attraverso la storia di sei aspiranti comici stanchi della mediocrità delle loro vite, che al termine di un corso serale di stand-up si preparano ad affrontare la prima esibizione in un club. Tra il pubblico c’è anche un esaminatore, che sceglierà uno di loro per un programma televisivo. Per tutti è la grande occasione per cambiare vita, per alcuni forse è l’ultima. Le esibizioni iniziano e ogni comico sale sul palco con un grande dilemma: rispettare gli insegnamenti del proprio maestro, devoto a una comicità intelligente e senza compromessi o stravolgere il proprio numero per assecondare il gusto molto meno raffinato dell’esaminatore? O forse cercare una terza strada, di assoluta originalità?

يستكشف فيلم “Comedians” المعنى الأعمق للكوميديا المعاصرة، ويتناول حدودها ودورها في مجتمع اليوم من خلال قصة ستة ممثلين كوميديين طموحين سئموا من رتابة حياتهم. بعد انتهاءهم من دورة تدريبية في الكوميديا الارتجالية، يستعدون لأول عرض لهم على خشبة أحد النوادي.
يحضره أحد الممتحنين الذي سيختار واحدًا منهم للمشاركة في برنامج تلفزيوني. تمثل هذه الفرصة نقطة تحول مصيرية في حياة كلٍّ منهم، وقد تكون الأخيرة للبعض.
ومع بدء العروض، يجد كل فنان نفسه أمام معضلة:
هل يلتزم بتعاليم معلمه التي تشجع على كوميديا ذكية ورافضة للتسطيح؟
أم يُعدّل عرضه ليتماشى مع ذوق الممتحن الأقل رقيًا؟
أم يختار طريقًا ثالثًا يقوم على الأصالة التامة؟

Comedians” delves into the deeper meaning of contemporary comedy, questioning its limits and its role in today’s society through the story of six aspiring comedians who are tired of the mediocrity of their lives. After completing an evening stand-up course, they prepare for their first performance at a club. Among the audience is an examiner who will select one of them for a TV program. For all of them, this is a great opportunity to change their lives, though, for some, it might be their last. The performances begin, and each comedian takes the stage with a major dilemma: to stay true to their mentor’s teachings, devoted to intelligent and uncompromising comedy, or to alter their act to suit the examiner’s less refined taste? Or perhaps to choose a third path, one of complete originality?
