Eman Elbana is a visual artist and a professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University. The research-based exhibition “Patches from Memory” explores personal and collective memory through the lens of Egyptian cotton. Her current show is the first part of an ongoing project tracing the histories, narratives, and transformations of cotton in Egypt.
The “Meet the Artist” event takes place at CRAFTASTIC alongside the exhibition, creating a dialogue between archive, textile, and research.
The discussion will be in Arabic with informal English translation.
All artworks are for sale, supporting CRAFTASTIC and MASQ programmes.
Part of MASQ, funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation.

انضموا إلينا في حوار مع إيمان البنا، تديره ملك شنوّدة، القَيِّمة الاستشارية الرئيسية في ADD Art التابعة لشركة ADD Properties، ومستشارة البرامج الخاصة في مؤسسة ARD Art.
إيمان البنا فنانة بصرية وأستاذة في كلية الفنون التطبيقية بجامعة حلوان. يستكشف معرضها البحثي “قصاصات من الذاكرة” الذاكرة الفردية والجماعية من خلال القطن المصري. ويُعد هذا المعرض الجزء الأول من مشروع مستمر يتتبع تاريخ القطن في مصر وسردياته وتحولاته.
يُقام لقاء “لقاء مع الفنانة” في جاليري كرافتاستك! حيث يلتقي الأرشيف بالنسيج والبحث الفني.
تُعقد المناقشة بالعربية مع ترجمة إنجليزية غير رسمية.
الأعمال متاحة للبيع لدعم برامج كرافتاستك! ومساحات قايتباي.
المعرض ضمن برنامج MASQ بتمويل من الوكالة الإسبانية للتعاون الإنمائي الدولي.
