الحب، بكل أشكاله وألوانه، شيء ساحر يصعب حصره في الكلمة المكتوبة. وبالنسبة لنا، الذين نشأنا على قصص الحب الغربية، سواءً مباشرةً أو عبر الترجمة المصاحبة الركيكة، الكتابة عن الحب مهمةً معقدة للغاية. بأي لغةٍ نتوق ونتألم؟ العربية الفصحى، العربية المصرية، الإنجليزية، الفرنسية، أم غيرها؟

Love, in all its shapes and colors, is the closest thing we have to magic. Capturing it in words is an undertaking as ancient as time itself. For those of us who grew up consuming Western romantic stories, whether directly or by relying on the stilted translation in subtitles, writing about love becomes a daunting endeavor. What language(s) do we yearn and ache in? Fusha Arabic, Egyptian Arabic, English, French, other?
