AIDA: a masterpiece by Giuseppe Verdi – conducted by Elio Orciuolo
In collaboration with the Cairo Opera House, the Italian Cultural Institute is pleased to present Aida, one of Giuseppe Verdi’s most celebrated and beloved masterpieces. The opera will be staged at the Main Hall of the Cairo Opera House by the Cairo Opera Company, with the participation of the Cairo Opera Orchestra, the Cairo Opera Ballet Company and the Cairo Opera Choir.
Under the direction of Italian maestro Elio Orciuolo, this extraordinary production brings to the stage the intense and tragic story of Aida, Radamès and Amneris, in a drama of love, power, conflict and sacrifice.
